I am on a Kate Meader kick. I read all the books in the Tall, Dark and Texan series and I loved it. I am a huge fan of contemporary romance books, and these were a perfect fit for me.
Olivia's wedding day just went from perfect to absolutely horrible in a bout 5 seconds. She is expecting to marry her loving fiancee and live her happy ever after. That is until she discovers her fiancee and bridesmaid together. Now she can't believe where her life has ended up.
Flynn is her brother's best friend and at the wedding has the bridesmaid's date. He swoops into try to help, but Olivia doesn't want it. All she wants is to get drunk and have a one night stand to try to forget about her life. Flynn won't let her and lets her drink all she wants, but makes sure she is ok.
When Olivia goes on her honeymoon alone, sure enough Flynn shows up. He knows Olivia is in a bad place, he also knows this could be his chance with her. Flynn has been secretly in love with his best friend's sister since she was 16. He knew he was never good enough for her and stayed away. When he went off to serve overseas, he came back a different man and cut off all ties with her. Flynn didn't want Olivia to see his physical and emotional scares.
Now, everything is out the window. Flynn wants to be with Olivia, and Olivia has always wanted to be with Flynn. She has had feelings for him since almost day one. Throwing caution to the wind, the couple starts off with a no strings attached relationship. What happens in Mexico stays in Mexico. That is, until everyone finds out the truth about what went down at the wedding and the secrets Flynn has been keeping!
