Series: Wingmen #5 (Standalone)

Author: Daisy Prescott

Genre: Second Chance Romance

Release Date: June 27, 2017

Another wingmen meets his match and this time it's

Carter Kelso is a man with a plan. And goats.

Ashley Kingston is a woman with a reputation.

Can he earn back her love before their past catches up with
them and destroys everything?

On the island, my last name is synonymous with scandal. With
a notorious father and a famous brother, I've been on the sidelines of our
small town's gossip circle for years. Nothing to see here. Just a man and his
goats, happily going through life. Not a care in the world. Too bad it's all

I'm tired of trying not to be in love with Ashley Kingston,
our very own island jezebel. Some people think she's a slut. They think they
know her. They're wrong. Screw them.

Reputations can be deceiving. I should know.

Small Town Scandal is a second chance romance standalone
novel and the fifth book in the Wingmen series. You do not have to read the
other novels first.

3 stars!

I am a huge fan of the Wingman series. That being said, this was not my favorite one.

Carter and Ashley were high school sweethearts. Now they have their second chance romance. I am a huge fan of second chance romances. Heck, I live for them. I don't know why this was just ok for me. Maybe it is because I loved some of the other books in this series so much. Ready to Fall was one of my favs!!

I just couldn't get into goat man....

A high school reunion is about to get down and dirty and a whole lot more complicated in this new romance from USA Today bestselling author Avery Flynn.
Brains and a badass attitude. That’s all troublemaker Leah Camacho took with her when she left Catfish Creek. She’d promised herself she’d never go back, but when the invite to her tenth high school reunion arrived along with the chance to show everyone who doubted her what a success she’s made of herself, she couldn’t resist. Sheriff Drew Jackson knew a long time ago that Leah Camacho was nothing but trouble and has sworn to never get caught up in her again—no matter how damn sexy she is or how badly he’d failed to forget her. But, when the woman who test drove his heart right into a concrete wall rolls into Catfish Creek with some serious bad guys on her tail, it’s up to him to keep her safe—even if that means guarding her hot bod 24/7 without giving into temptation or losing his mind.

A fast 4 stars read for me! Rockstar is a cute story about going back to your high school reunion and reconnecting with your old flame.

Rae and Travis used to be together. Then Travis left to be a bog rockstar. Neither has ever gotten over the other. But 10 years have passed. Now, that Travis has seen and been everywhere, he knows there is only one place that matters to him. No money or fame can compare to what he had with Rae. He only hopes there is still room in her heart for him.

Out of the Bad Boy Coming Home series, this was my favorite one! Loved it!

Oxford Series #4
Lauren Layne
Releasing June 13, 2017

New York City’s hottest bachelors are stirring up trouble in this fun, flirty Oxford Novel, as a love triangle forces a feisty beauty to choose between winning back Mr. Right or giving in to Mr. Wrong.

Taylor Carr has it all—a sleek job in advertising, a stunning Manhattan apartment, and the perfect man to share it with: Bradley Calloway. Even after Bradley dumps her for a co-worker on move-in day, Taylor isn’t worried. She’ll get her man eventually. In the meantime, she needs a new roommate. Enter Nick Ballantine, career bartender, freelance writer—and longtime pain in Taylor’s ass. Sexy in a permanent five-o’clock-shadow kind of way, Nick knows how to push Taylor’s buttons, as if he could see right through to the real her.

Nick’s always trying to fix people, and nobody could use a good fixing more than Taylor. Sure, she’s gorgeous, with mesmerizing silver eyes, but it’s her vulnerability that kills him. Now that they’re shacking up together, the chemistry is out of control. Soon they’re putting every part of their two-bedroom apartment to good use. Then Taylor’s ex comes crawling back to her, and Nick figures she’ll jump at the chance to go back to her old life—unless he fights for the best thing that ever happened to him.

I am a fan of the Oxford Series, and I knew I had to read I Knew You Were Trouble as soon as I could! That being said, this was not my favorite book in the series,

Taylor has it all. Good Job, Boyfriend. Life is good, Until she gets dumped the day she is to move in with her boyfriend. Her leaves her a "Dear John", leaving her stuck. She has to move in and needs a roommate. Enter Nick.

I liked Nick (most of the book). Him and Taylor has a love/hate relationship. It kept you on your toes.  You knew from page one that they would end up together... and I loved seeing them get there (the long roundabout way!).

I liked Nick  more than Taylor at times, but then there was times I didn't care for Nick either. It was overall a decent read for me. I just didn't love it like I usually love this series.
