About the author

Vivian Winslow was born and raised in Southern California. Before becoming a writer, she made a career out of moving around the world every couple of years thanks to her husband’s job. She currently lives in New York City with her husband and two elementary school age children, and is grateful to finally have a place to call home for more than two years. New York is the perfect city to indulge her love of shopping, the arts and especially food.

If she’s not at home writing or running around the city with her kids, you’ll most likely find her indulging in pizza on the Lower East Side or having a cocktail at her favorite bar in Alphabet City. That said, she’s still a California girl at heart and would gladly trade in her heels for a pair of flip-flops to catch a sunset on the beach.

This was my first book by author Vivian Winslow.  I have to say that I enjoyed the writing and plan to go back and read the others in this series.

Dahlia has found Rodrigo and plans to marry him but she has a secret that has to be taken are of before she can proceed.  She must come face to face with her past.  How will she get past this?  Sometimes the past is what we need to face the future.

Dahlia’s character has secrets that are revealed in bits and pieces.  Once she is in California to confront her past, all those secrets come to life again.  How can she not feel the energy that course through her from being there in the sand and surf?  And the raw emotion that she still has for this blond surfer Shane.

Dahlia must admit that her past is where she needs to be to truly be happy.  But can she get over a tragic event that happened?  Will Shane and Dahlia be able to move forward?

As we get to the last couple of pages of this book, there seems to be a secret that Shane is holding on too.  I get the feeling that is going to change everything for Dahlia and Shane.  I can not wait to read the next book in this series.
