love everything about Laguna Beach…but if somebody was visiting, just for a
day, I would tell them to be sure to go to Main Beach. Can’t miss it if you
come in through the canyon road. It ends at this amazing stretch of sparkling
ocean. Laguna Beach is one of the few places where the town has been focused on
keeping development under control and open spaces like parks and public
beaches, accessible. Main Beach is a perfect example. After strolling the
beach, a favorite spot is to walk up the stairs and grab an outside table at
Las Brisas, a Mexican restaurant with a spectacular coastal view. If you’re
there in the summer, my son may seat you as his summer job is a host at the
restaurant. After a margarita and some great food, take a stroll through
Heisler Park, a meandering walk through sculpture gardens hugging the edge of
the cliff with the ocean below. Laguna Beach really is a spectacular spot and
I’ve enjoyed bringing it to life through my Laguna Beach series.
