Aside from being a Top 10 Barnes & Noble and Amazon Bestseller, Sarah Robinson is a native of the Washington, DC area and has both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in criminal psychology. Not A Hero has become one of my favorite books of 2016. It is a beautiful, sometimes funny and telling story about of Miles and Zoe.
Miles has just come home from Iraq, after having been there for a few tours. All he wants is to be "normal" again and forget what he has seen and done while over there. As soon as he comes home, he is hot with the reality that is father is sick and has a live in nurse helping him.
Zoe, the nurse, is also Mile's secret crush from high school. She has always had a thing for the former star quarterback, and now they are in extremely close quarters living and sleeping.
This is a beautiful take of Miles dealing with the realities of war and being home. There is a lot of turmoil in his life. PTST, his dad's illness and his own demons. Zoe is there for Miles. What starts off as an attraction they both fight, soon becomes a romance that takes them both for a rollercoaster ride.
This book made me laugh, cry and everything in between. I loved every second of it. From the main characters to the secondary characters. Everyone fit in such a fantastic plot, you could not have asked for a better story!!
