Kristen Proby has done it again!! She has started another series that I am in love with and completely hooked on!! Listen To Me was one of my favorite books of 2016. Hands down!! More female leads should be like this!

First off, I have to say, I love how Kristen makes her female lead characters strong and independent. It is so refreshing! They are all inspiring and amazing. They are not whiny or annoying. I love this in her books. 

Addison Wade is one of 5 owners of a restaurants with her friends. They are all coming into together to run the business. These brilliant minds all have specialties to make their restaurant run perfectly. Addison decides that that they need to bring in a musician to play once a week for a small and intimate show. Enter Jake Keller. He is a former huge rock star that has walked away from it all. For the first time in years, he played in public, when Addison caught his show. There was an instant spark between them. Jake takes the job at the restaurant to play. He misses his music, but he also wants to get to know Addison. This is the perfect way to accomplish both. 

Jake is overcoming a lot. His past is filled with things that haunt him. He walked away from the spotlight because he didn't like who he had become. Jake now lives a more quite life, writing songs and producing. He is now missing playing in front of people, It has been a long time since he has done so. Jake is slowly getting over his fears, and back to having fun  playing live again 

Addison has had more of her share of failed relationships. Mostly with musicians. Now she is weary on starting anything new. Who can blame her? The women puts on a happy face, but in reality, there is a lot of hurt and pain. Addison questions herself and thinks she maybe unlovable.

Jake and Addison have amazing chemistry!! Amazing!! I was hanging on every word of this book. I did not want to put it down. I loved how Kristen worked in all the theory girls, so we know them for future books. As soon as the book was over, I was ready for book 2!
