You want the truth?

The truth is there’ll never be enough time in the world to figure out how to go back.

I’ll never come up with a way to change the outcome.

The truth is I don’t need to hear I have a son.

I can’t deny it’s real because he’s the living, breathing proof my life is out of control.

But the truth is I love him.

The truth is it’s just him and me for the foreseeable future…

Until I met a girl who crossed my heart and changed it all.

Emelia was a bright star in my abandoned sky, and it would take a miracle to keep her there.

I’ll fight for miracles, though, because losing them would mean losing pieces of me.

What an emotional ride this story was! Piece Of Him starts off with a bang. Page one.... bam... you are hooked!

Max is kinda of a jerk when you start this story. He is having a "friends with benefits" relationship with his neighbor. She comes to him with some news... she is having a baby.. his baby. Max is not happy with this news. He never really wanted kids, or anything like that. He is not a family person, not really having a real family himself.  He likes his life the way it is. Simple and easy. He is getting by.

Max's whole life is turned upside-down with the whole baby thing. There are some major things that happen right away that leaves Max in a whole different place than where he expected to be.

How does one recover from the 2 biggest and emotional things that can ever happen to any person? If you are Max, you do what you can to survive.

Max was kind of a jerk when this whole story started. He didn't give me the warm and fizzles. To be honest, I thought I was going to hate him. But as time went on, I started to warm up to him. By the end of the book, I really liked him. You saw hi changed and grown into a better man throughout the story.

This was a very emotional read. It deals with loss and love and then finding true love when you dot even expect it. It was a beautiful story.
