Real life, well, let's face it, can kind of suck sometimes. Full of stress and so many depressing things happening in the world. Reading is a way to escape the pressures of real life. This is why I like to give my readers a promise of a happy ending.
In life I think the simple pleasures are the ones that make the difference: coffee, wine, and a good book, to name a few.
I also love all animals, a soft spot in my heart for elephants. And of course, my fur babies. Two miniature dachshunds that make me smile every day.

River Scott is a successful business woman who has had an easy life or so it would seem. Her family has money but along with that comes huge responsibility. River has made herself the one in charge of keeping family secrets safe and always helping her younger sister Charity out of the fixes that she gets herself into. But along the way, it has cost River herself.
Damien retired male escort but the owner of a very successful escort business, realizes that River Scott has gotten under his skin in a matter of seconds. He will do everything he can to show her that he is exactly what she needs and wants.
River tries to dodge Damien but she felt the pull towards him right away. Why can’t she be little daring? She has always been the good daughter? Can she allow herself a chance at a night of passion? Only once?
When uncontrollable events are put into place, will River be able to keep her sister, Charity, safe? Or will this be the one time that River is unable to stop it or can Damien step up to the plate and safe the day?
I enjoyed the characters. I loved their banner with each other. It was an easy read. I laughed several times. I’m looking forward to more from Author Amie Nichols.
