It finalized the fact that the woman we loved dearly was no longer within our reach. We would no longer be blessed by her smile or warmed by her words.
It was the most heart-wrenching sight, one that will forever be etched in my mind and which left a void in me I was positive would never be filled. It changed the man I thought I was and made me realize that loving someone with your entire heart didn’t ensure they would always be with you. There was no way to predict your fate.
Claire was my best friend; she had been since we were barely old enough to talk. I always knew I would one day marry her. I may have even told her so a few times while we were growing up. Even my brother, Noah, who is nearly a year younger than me, thought he would marry her. She was the perfect girl and had every man in Livingston, Montana, mesmerized by her looks and her personality. But she and I were meant to be.
I never thought I would lose her so suddenly. Now I was left struggling to find the strength I needed to push forward without her in my life. I couldn’t remember a day she wasn’t by my side, and now she was gone forever.
I sat in the chair looking at the deep, freshly dug grave before me, consumed by a feeling of emptiness. The air felt thick as it filtered into my lungs, making me feel like I was being suffocated. The anxiety of my loss was slowly overtaking me as I tried hard to fight the urge to break down and just give up.
“Daddy.”
Olivia’s sweet whisper pulled me from my daze, and I looked deep into her red, swollen eyes. I felt as if I had just been punched in the gut. There stood my little girl, looking broken and lost.
“I miss her already,” she said, her soft voice cracking.

I enjoy happy endings in my love stories. Loving those scenes that give it the needed angst and heat to keep you hooked and wanting more. Just enough drama
to make her heart race and your stomach flutter. I haven't always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently I have
taken on a new liking and now I am addicted to Romance Novel.

This was my first book by Author CA Harms and wow was I impressed. Her ability to make you fall in love with the characters, want to live in the town with the people there and to feel all the emotions that each character is feeling was truly amazing. I am more than ready to dive into more books by her.
Ryan Sawyer never thought he would be taking care of his teenage daughter alone. He thought Claire and him would grow old together and watch their daughter grown into a young woman and mother of her own. But when he has to bury his best friend and wife, Claire: he loses a major part of himself and everything is just muted in color to him. His life is about his daughter now. Although she has his parents and brothers to help, he must be there for her; just the two of them now.
Amber is in need of a change and knows exactly where she needs to go. Opening up her grandmother’s old bakery is just the ticket to help her sort out her life. She has been enjoying the pace of small town with her best friend Bailey beside her. Soon Bailey and Amber realize that there may be more hot guys in this same town than in the big city they just left. And when Amber lays eyes on one policeman, her life may never be the same.
There seems to be more than cookies and cakes baking in the air in this same town. As Ryan finally feels something he hasn’t in so long, he is determined to try to make a go at it with Amber. They both deserve a second chance at love but when responsibilities and doing the right things come into play, they may both end up alone.
The journey that the characters in the book must go through break and mend you heart. Have a box of tissue ready; you will need them within a few pages of the story. This book is one that will touch your soul and stay with you for years to come.
