What a perfect ending to this series. I think book 3 was the best ending for Cal and Macy!! It could not have been any better!!
Just when things are going perfectly for the couple... trouble brews and it is going to be big. Instead of Macy telling Cal what has happened in her past and how it effects her or them as a couple, she pushes him away and runs. It is the only coping mechanism Macy knows how to do. Macy has been hiding a huge and damaging secret for decades. It is the things that makes her the way she is and also the reason it is ruining her relationship with Cal.
Slowly Cal starts to piece together what has happened to Macy. With the help of a PI, he gets closer and closer to the truth. While getting there though, he is hurt. It is a warning to keep out of Macy's past.
For the first time in Macy's life, things aren't about her. She is not as selfish as she once was. She is now trying to protect Cal from her past and the evil that lies there.
This last book was seriously amazing. It had something of everything and wrapped up Cal and Macy's story perfectly. I was so glad that it ended the way it did. Perfectly.
