Let me start by saying that the way Author Amanda Lanclos writes will draw you into the story and then you realize that you have finished the entire book in one setting. She is definitely one of my go to authors that I know she has a book releasing.
Luke Blalock has been that guy, the all American boy who was the best friends to all that he met. He had a great family life and was following in his father’s footsteps learning the ropes of taking over the family hardware store. He has always had girls after him so when he sets eyes on a new girl in one of his classes and she could careless who he is or what he is doing. It pikes his interest. He is intrigued by her. Who is she?
Skylar Montgomery knew she wanted better than the life she grew up in. She was not going to be like her mother. But when life repeats itself, she knows she has to get out. She finally gets the courage to leave town. As she starts over in a new town; she thinks finally she might have the life that she wants but there is always that fear that her past will find her.
As Luke puts his charming ways to work on Skylar, she does not fall for it. But who can turn down a cup of coffee. So as they form a friendship, Skylar knows she can not get involved with anyone. She can not allow another man into her life. She has to guard herself.
When lines are crossed and Skylar allows herself to live again, things are going smoothly well except for a secret she has. But she is not the only one with secrets. Luke has one of his own. As an accident happens and then the past makes an appearance in the present, things are spinning out of control.
