Title: Wild Dreams
Author: Dawn Pendleton
Publication: September 1, 2014

Dallas Montgomery doesn't do relationships. He bounces around from woman to woman, happy to live life as a bachelor. But a surprise excursion into the jungles of Africa has him wondering if “settling down” isn’t so bad after all - especially if it’s with the sexy Nicole Griffin.

Nicole can't stand Dallas. He's arrogant, full of himself, and drop-dead gorgeous - everything she vowed to avoid after her last relationship crashed and burned. Resisting him shouldn’t be a problem, until one wrong turn in the middle of the jungle puts her face to face with the real Dallas. The one who isn't such a jerk after all.

When they are brought together by a terrifying tragedy that threatens a friend’s life, Dallas and Nicole won't be able to escape their own demons. As one reconsiders life as a bachelor and the other struggles to put aside the past, they will ignite a desire as hot as the African jungle.

Dallas was an excellent photographer, one of the best in the field.  He was sought after for internships from up and coming photographers in the business.  He was sought after by publications and for all purposes he had made it in the business.  He was a player who enjoyed women and didn’t have to try to pick them up, they came to him.  He loved being a player and being in the game.  He didn’t think he had the capacity to love because he had lost his sister several years prior.  Dallas didn’t want the kind of pain that love could bring.  Nicole was a wonderful photographer in her own right, she was young and she was talented.  Nicole wanted to intern under Dallas because she knew he could teach her many things with a camera.  She didn’t want him to teach her anything else.  Nicole didn’t believe in falling in love because in her world love hurts and people die.  Dallas and Nicole are two broken people who have to decide if their two broken halves can make one whole worth fighting for in the end.  The setting of this book was different from many I have read recently and I enjoyed the change of pace this novel brought to the reader.  The characters were well developed and the reader can easily understand where they are coming from. I would have loved more information about Tyler.  Why does he act the way he does and what does he do in the military.  Most importantly who hurt him in a past relationship?  There is a story to be told there as well. I recommend this book to all who enjoy new adult reads as well as contemporary romance.
