Clementine is a perfect little rich girl who decided (well more like is forced) to live life on her own at Boston University after her mom cuts her off from the family's millions. It is perfectly ok with Clementine. She has all that she wants without their help. She is going to school, secretly she is a best selling author (under a pen name). She has a few friends and is content. She worlds hard, studies hard. She is nothing like the spoiled rich kids she used to go to high school with.
Then she meets Gavin Murphy. Everything changes when she meets him. She is not into dating. Like at all. She wants nothing to do with the opposite sex. She has a boyfriend all through high school, until she walked in on him cheating on her with her best friend. Now she is afraid to get in another relationship. She has severe trust issues and doesn't want to get her heart broken again. So Clementine builds these giant walls around herself and not just her heart. She doesn't let anyone too close. Not even her twin brother. She may come off as a witch, but she seems to be ok with that. Clementine does not care what others think about her.
Clementine has some crazy stuff going on in her life. She has a stalker/former mentor who is creepy. He is making her life hell. She has a family she is pretty much estranged from, and a hidden author persona no one really knows about but a select few.
When Clementine gets writer's block, the hotty RA at school, Gavin volunteers to help her. He is gonna show her what a book boyfriend can be like. Gavin will melt your heart he is so sweet. You can tell he really likes Clementine. He seems to know she is a tough nut to crack so her proceeds with caution. Gavin takes their relationship slow. It starts as a friendship and slowly leads to more.
This story is twisty and turning throughout the whole thing. It is more than a love story. It has a little
mystery, romance, humor, and fantastic writing. Everything a great book really needs!
